Now, I don't expect you to hear me out. Upon reviewing what I said to you yesterday, after you told me how much you cared for me, I was appalled at my own behaviour. You must know I didn't tell you such things to be cruel, far from it, it's only I'm not one to use a term like 'love' lightly. But, this does not mean that I'll never grow to share your sentiments.
In short, I don't want yesterday to spoil our friendship or anything which might spring from it. I'll not pester you to make this right; take however much time you need to feel better. I understand how debilitating that feeling can be all too well. Whenever you're ready, you'll know where to find me. I leave the library to you, for obvious reasons, and will from now on spend the brunt of my days in my office.
And, please forgive me if I sound not myself. You have no idea how hard it was to compose something so serious in my current state.
