So, last night was the most fun I've had in quite a while. And it reminded just how good I am at beer pong. Seriously. I kick boy ass.
So. I get off work yesterday at 4 and my mother picks me up. It's so strange when she drops me off at work and picks me up now. It's actually kind of annoying. But she said she wanted to drive my car out to get her mom, so of course I can't say no.
But I get home, and my grandmother just starts. Not even about anything in particular, just everything that we're doing wrong, but it isn't our faults, and when is my father going to take responsibility (uh, never), when are we going to sell the car in front of our house (when all the water on the floor dries up), when is Brother going to do better in school, how's school for me, goddamn the sons of bitchs who make it so expensive, why would I need to go to school anwyay.....the list goes on and on.
So I took Brother, his g/f, and Lil Bro out to Blockbuster to get a movie and to buy cake for my grandmother. We ended up getting Lords of Dogtown, which I saw in the movies with Lil Bro, but the other's didn't. Plus, it was unrated. I really didn't see much of a difference between this and when I saw it in theaters, but whatever.
We're just sitting down to watch the movie when my friend Jackie calls me. Her boyfriend's parents are out of town, and he has a friend over and she wants to hang out. Immediately I say yes, 'cause we haven't hung out in such a long time. Yeah, we talk on the phone and she does my hair at her shop, but we haven't just chilled for a while.
Mike's Hard Lemonade is good. But I stopped at 2 of those (wasn't sure if I had to drive home or not). But then I got pulled into a game of Beer Pong. Word of advice: don't do this. You'll feel sick the next day. Especially when you totally got your ass beat in the second round and had to drink, like, a lot of the cups.
And, wow, Mother was kinda pissed. I mean, I called to say I wasn't coming home. Granted, I didn't tell her. I called Brother's cell phone around 3 (I thought he would be up!) and told him to lock up, I was staying at Brendon's. But once he confirmed I called him, she calmed down. I think she realized why I couldn't come home last night (hellooo....so not driving) and I heard her say to herself, "I wouldn't have ever thought she'd do that."
Excuse me if I had an epiphany and realized it's not a sin to enjoy a few drinks and do normal stuff without feeling guilty, and without thinking that I'm going to become an alcholic like my father. I'm not him. So I had fun. She's really going to have to deal with it.
Her boyfriend's friend, John; so cute! We got along really well too. And he's 26. And he couldn't believe I was only 19 and he kept saying it. And...he's shy. Jackie says he's used to getting turned down or burned by girls, so he's not sure how to handle it when a girl he digs feels the same way. But I gave him my number. After we stayed up 'till 5:30 in the morning doing...stuff. ;)
Jackie and Brendon had gone up to his room around 4 when we couldn't find anything good on tv. We watched soooo much crap last night. Viva La Bam, The Girls Next Door (which got the guys to pay less attention to their poker game), the Olympics, Cops, Norman Rockwell is Bleeding (Chris Titus' standup routine). It was just such a blast.
I won't say anymore! I really don't want to jinx it. 'Cause I really like him. Looks and personality. And it's been a while since anybody has looked twice at me. So, yeah. Let's hope Jackie and Brendon can convince him to call me. I really want him to!
I'm gonna go make tea. I think Women's Figure Skating Short Program is on the Olympics tonight. Cross your fingers for me about this guy! I'm gonna need all the luck in the world.
