OK, I missed most of Prison Break on Monday night. I was home and everything! And what happens?

Brother starts acting like a brat while his friend is over, so I end up hanging out with his friend and watching TV. Brother was on the computer, then went upstairs in the hope that his friend would leave, but he didn't. Make sense so far? I feel like I'm talking in circles today. So we were watching Black Hawk Down, which is a really good movie, by the by, and we got caught up in it and I didn't switch over to Fox enough. So what happened? I missed Michael trying to cheer Sarah up and give her the paper flower! Goddammit! I'm actually a bit pissed.

Cost of round trip to New York City by train: $19.00
Cost of Metro Card total: $6.00
Cost of McDonald's: $3.00
Cost of traveling into the city and all you do is go to a McDonald's near your friend's apartment: Priceless.

*Rolls eyes*

Yeah. That was fun. _runningmascara told me to have fun. And I tried! Lord knows I laughed enough. But what else can you do when it's either that or flip? You laugh.

Whole story:

Ingrid gets to my house around 7. I had looked up the train times, and I thought that if we rushed we could make the 7:58 train. But she took her time way too much at my house (she likes to go into my pantry, see what we have, and eat junk 'cause her mother doesn't go food-shopping). So we made the 9:11 train. Got into the city at 10:30. Hopped onto the subway, hoofed it a few blocks, got to my friend's apartment at 11. As soon as we walk into the door, Laura says "Ok guys, ready to go to the club?"

Huh? I had called her before, told her I had very little money, could we just hit a bar or something where we could flirt with the guys to give us drinks and not charge an arm and a leg just to get into the door? And she had said that was fine. And then she wants to go to a club? She informs us that Avalon lets ladies in free 'till midnight.

So I rush and get changed. I looked damn good, too. AE ripped jeans, pretty flowy top from Gap, and my 3-inch heels which I would come to hate later on that night. But I looked good. Ingrid got mad, she had a whole outfit planned, but she left it at home 'cause she didn't think we were going clubbin..blah, blah, blah. She raids Laura's closet, gets dressed, but we don't get out 'till 20 to 12. We run to the subway station, get new MetroCards, and then we hear an announcement that there are no downtown trains from that station. Shit.

We walk up, she starts calling clubs to see what the door charge is. $40 at one, $30 at another, cheapest was $25. *rolls eyes again* She calls her boyfriend, we decide to meet up with him. He's at her old dorm. We take a taxi. We get there and a guy is checking ID to get in (something about only visitors and people in dorms allowed in, I didn't catch the whole thing). We can't go in because Laura got evicted last year. She calls up her boyfriend, who says he's no longer there. He gives her an address up on Lex I believe that we take another taxi to. There's a few subway stations around there, so she goes down a few of them to see if he's there. Me and Ingrid are just hangin out on the street corner. (Oh, that didn't sound so good!)

He's not there. He's at this rooftop party we were going to go to. Fine. We start walking. About six blocks later, we see him walking towards us. He says the party was stupid, let's turn around. *sigh* My feet were killing me at this point. I thought we were just gonna go someplace and chill. Not walk a million blocks.

But we start walking. We're not sure where we're going, but we're going back in the direction of home. Me and Ingrid are freezing, so we got our arms looped in each other's, which we had hoped would keep the icky guys on the streets from trying to hit on us. ("Hey, Mamacita, something in Spanish I didn't quite catch" - she wouldn't tell me what they said). We're hungry.

Walk some more. We spot a McDonald's. Oh joy. Laura's boyfriend holds open the door for me and says "You look like the saddest girl right now." Aw, he's a sweetie. Said he was sorry our night out was turning out this way, especially 'cause we were trying to celebrate my birthday, but next time come earlier. *rolls eyes again* I get fries and a coke. They kept eating my fries!

We walk to another subway station and wait. I sit on the dirty ground and they're all making fun of me, saying I'm gonna get a disease. They were just saying that because we had seen several rats earlier in the night and I was telling them that rats carry diseases and they spread the Plague and all that. They didn't appreciate my knowledge. *smirk*

Get on the subway, walk 8 blocks to their apartment. They all got really far ahead of me at this point, because I was walking so slow. You can only take little steps in heels as it is, imagine it with blisters. Laura's boyfriend said "You guys are douchebags! You're letting Kerri walk back there all by herself." I really like him. So he walked the rest of the way with me. Even offered his shoes to me. Such a sweetie.

Got to her apartment. It was about 2:30 ish by that point. We chilled, watched How High on USA. I read my book, thank God I brought it. Fell asleep around 4:30. Got up around 9. Waited for Laura and her boyfriend to get up, so we could get breakfast and catch our train. They didn't get up 'till 12, which was ok. We went to this diner a few blocks down (I was in my sneakers, thank God!). It was alright, very fast service. Somehow, whenever I'm out with these guys and we split a check, I end up putting in more money. I don't get it. *shakes head*

But we go back, grab our stuff and head out. No E trains were running that day, so we had to take the 6, and transfer onto the R. Took forever. We get out of the subway station, and Ingrid walks around, trying to find a cute guy to ask where Penn Station is. Then she runs. I don't mean a jog, I mean a full-out, leavin me behind with a huge duffel bag with some of her stuff in it run. She didn't even stop to see if I was behind her!

We missed our train by 1 minute. The doors closed at 2:14, we got to it at 2:15. So we hung out at Penn Station for an hour. That was alright. A bit relaxing, actually. We just chatted, and watched CNN. I bumped into a really cute Army guy! I have a thing for guys in uniform (especially the camoflouge). And I was so busy looking at this cute guy, that I didn't really notice where he was going, so I literally bumped into him! He had the nicest voice, "'Scuse me, ma'am." Oh, no, honey, you can knock me over anytime!

And that was it. We went home, she came and hung out at my house for a little bit. Then I went to bed. Wow, this was long. Props to anybody who reads this the whole way through!

But, all in all, it didn't totally sucked. Gave me some funny stories and an experience. And isn't that all life is? A series of experiences?
