As far as brainless summer popcorn movies go, X3 wasn't bad. It pales in comparison to X2 which was great and it's probably on par with X1, though this one lacks the emotion even the original had. I understand everything you said about the film. I disagree with you about the emotional quality. As a fan of the series I felt a great emotional response.

Kitty Pride dude. Kitty Pride. Read "Days of Future Past" and come back to me with your opinion. We can get into this later, when I don't risk spoiling the film for someone reading this.

The Kitty Pride in the movie was really cute...and short. Freakishly short.

Trying not to spoil it for anyone but you'll know what I'm talking about:
Regarding the emotional quality, I felt the emotion when Phoenix and Charles duked it out and the same when she and Logan had their big scene but it should have been stronger with more resonance. I'm not even going to mention how badly they screwed Cyclops over. No resonance at all with that. Did you stay after the credits for that last scene?
