Yuletidings
If you are not my yuletide author, come to spy on me, you may ignore this message. Or you can decode its secret meaning as harbinger of the apocalypse, either way.
As you probably have noticed from my various requests, I kind of like darkfic. That is not to say that humor isn't good as well. Just be forewarned that I have little to no interest in the daily slings and arrows of relationships and other typical wangst.
Basically, think extreme. I like the end of the world. But I also like crackfic, so if you'd rather go that way, that's cool, too. I like war. Not as in, I want to go attack Pakistan war. But the anxiety of waiting for the next bomb to fall, the moment one takes a life and realizes how fragile it was, the images that can never be shaken from one's mind, and the way the world seems so quiet and empty once the last echoes of cannonfire fade away. Hells, yeah.
But if you want to write about Littlefinger joining the NBA or Brother Justin endorsing Sarah Palin for president or anything along those lines, that's pretty sweet by me, too.
Genfic is seriously rocking, but ships are OK, too. Generally, the only canon ships I like are the really messed up ones - Justin/Iris, Jaime/Cersei, Littlefinger/Sansa... there is probably a pattern going on here. If it is food or something that food eventually becomes, I don't really want to see it sexualized. PWP smuttiness is not really my ideal, but suffice it to say that if you can get so depraved or violent that I am taken aback, you've probably done a good job.
I'm not scary, though, I swear! I'm pretty unpicky about characters so write whatever strikes your fancy. Have fun!! If death and desolation are not fun to you, that is a-ok by me.
