So last weekend, we threw a send-off party for me. I got to see people I hadn't seen in years. I heard "I remember when you were this big!" (while holding their hand up to their knee) so many times. It was awesome fun.
At the end of the party, mom, my Aunt Barbara, and Eme sent off some of the balloons with messages like "good luck" including mom's email address.
Today, she got a reply from a woman in nearby Ephrata (20 minutes away). Mom explained what it was about and the lady replied:
"We found it in our driveway when we got home from Church on Sunday.
A sign that God will keep her safe. God Bless your daughter!
You must be very proud."
Mom thanked her for the kind words. The lady replied again:
"Absolutely...Prayers for YOU, your family and your daughter will be done by our family.
I cut a piece of the ballon out (the part that says "good luck")
and have it on my bulletin board here at work.
I will think of her everyday."
