THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN SIGNED.
Apparently, there's a waiting list for linguists. It goes in order of who completed the DLAB the earliest. I was eighth on the list, so I wasn't supposed to leave for a long while. But because of my high score, they bumped me up to first. SWEET. My ego, she is huge.
But there's a problem. Linguists who sign up for 4 years no longer get a bonus. But if you sign up for 6 years, there's a $15,000 bonus, which you get as soon as you get out of basic training.
