This past weekend

Well as I mentioned in a previous post, we went to see Fred Claus on Thursday night at Golf Mill. Greg and I are starting to enjoy our late night movie dates, especially since we are getting the Five Buck Club discount from Kerasotes theatres :). Friday we went to the toy drive, but we didn't get there until after 8:30 and we still needed to get a toy for a donation. We went to KayBee toys and picked up a small game to donate, then looked at Spencer Gifts at the joke stuff and a Christmas store. By the time we had done this we realized that we hadn't had dinner yet and everything was about to close because it was almost 10pm. That sucked and we were both pretty pissed off about this, but never fear TGIF Friday's was here! Well it was across the street and luckily they didn't close until 2 am so we were able to get dinner and it was yum! We had the appetizer of fried green beans (who knew that green beans could be so tasty and bad for you?) and I had the Chicken Pasta Primavera while G. had the Parmesean Crusted Chicken. Both were fresh and tasty mmmmmmm. We also shared a couple of passion fruit margaritas which were big enough for two people! A bit on the weak side but yummy nonetheless. For dessert we had a Chocolate Angel Swirl cake, angelfood cake with chocolate mousse and strawberries and pineapple. We were finished up by 11:30 so we went back to Yorktown Center in time to see some of the cast of the Broadway show Phantom of the Opera sing a Christmas tune. I was hoping they would sing one of the songs from the show but copyright snafus halted that :(. We had a lot of fun hanging out and talking with a lot of the fans and Dick Biondi was super nice as always. We stayed til close to 6 am and picked up some cool swag including T-shirts, a stuffed "Castle Guy" toy from Castle Chevrolet/Buick, a CD and autographed pics from 94.7 FM DJ's Dick Biondi and morning man Scott McKay. We also got some hotdogs as a middle of the night snack and they were yum!

Unfortunately as 6 am approached, it started to snow heavily so we decided to leave before things got worse. It was fairly treachaerous driving home but we made it safe and sound as I drove much slower than normal and I don't give a flying fuck if anyone behind me didn't like it, I wanted to stay safe! We got home after 7am and just decided to go to bed and sleep the whole day through. Went to Pita Inn that evening and took Greg to work. The rest of the weekend and the past two days was pretty slow, I did get the Christmas cards all written out today (Finally!) so sparkly goodness will be coming everyone's way shortly. I just wish that I had gotten to it earlier, dammit for me being a procrastinator!

Gotta go to bed now and if you have read this all the way thru, congratulations for putting up with my rambles :)!
