First of all, see my loverly new icon? SEE???

Well, this past weekend was kinda busy, started out Thursday afternoon with a yummy meal at Pita Inn which was the Business Special consisting of beef shewirma, shish kebab, kefti kebab, falafel, chicken breast, rice and salad. No hummus this time :( not enough room in our tummies lol. Afterwards we went down to Lincolnwood for their fest to see the BEST Beatles cover band in the world...American English! The show was great as usual and this time they included "All My Loving" in their set which is my fave Beatles song of all time :D. We also had nachos and ice cream and Greg got free beer from a friendly drunk that sat at our table LOL. We also had the pleasure of meeting the original promoter of the Beatles, Sam Leach who was extremely nice and the closest thing we will EVER get to the actual Beatles.

*Note on Thursday - We were supposed to go downtown to Ambassador Casting for a casting call for extras on the movie "Wanted" which stars Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman, but we got a late start and decided not to brave riding the CTA in rush hour traffic. It was well we didn't cos we might have run into Dave "The Rock" Nelson who also applied to be an extra (heard this thru one of his millions of emails :P).

Friday the 13th was exciting...sorta. I had to go and get my city sticker before the deadline of July 15, when the price goes up from $75 to $115 and the risk of a $120 ticket. So I go to the Dept. of Revenue substation near my house and I scored the most awesome of awesomest parking spaces, right near the door, which was a small miracle due to the fact that the lot is always PACKED and more so becos everyone was getting their stickers last minute just like me :P. Imagine my fury to find out that I had forgotten my credit card at home *GRRRRRR*. So I had to drive back home, giving up the great parking spot, to get the credit card so I could pay for the damned sticker. I drive back to the place where I had to circle around for about ten minutes and LO AND BEHOLD...I get an even BETTER parking spot...right in front of the door...and it was legal too!!! Hahaha, I had good luck strike twice on Friday the 13th :P. Not so for another lady who was also getting her parking sticker, the guy in line behind me said that this lady not only had to go move her car becos it was in danger of being towed away, she also had locked her keys in the car :O. OMG I would have DIED if that had happened to me! Well anyhoo, I waited another 45 minutes in line and got my sticker and was on my way. Then we had to figure out what we wanted to do tonite cos we were supposed to go and meet with our friend and editor Deonna that nite. After much deliberations, we decided to just go to dinner at a Super China Buffet, where we had yummy food including King Crab Legs :O. Greg and I also tried sushi there and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, just gotta stay away from anything wrapped in too much seaweed cos that is just nasty and fishy :P. We stuck to the vegetearian and cooked pieces, I'm not brave enough to taste raw fish just yet... Afterwards we couldn't figure out what to do so Deonna went home cos she was a bit tired and since Greg was REALLY jonesing for some wings, we went to the O'Hare Hooters where he had a mango margarita and I had a pina colada smoothie to go with our plate of mild hot wings with ranch dressing.

Saturday, we took the bus downtown to sign up for the "Wanted" movie. Afterwards we went to an art fair that was taking place in Pioneer Court near the Tribune Tower. We walked down Michigan Ave. trying to figure out a place to go eat and ended up in a Nokia store where OMG the phones there were awesome! A bit on the expensive side...but does one really NEED all those bells and whistles on a mobile phone? All I need is some cool ringtones and a pretty handset and I'm cool lol, will stick to my little red Samsung T120. We decided not to eat downtown after all and went back home to pick up the car and go to Golden Angel for some Greek Chicken.

Sunday was a blur, but we did go to House of Wah Sun for the first time in eons to eat Cantonese style chow main, which was even yummier than regular chow mein, the noodles are stir fried instead of crunchy...mmmmmmmmm. Nothing exciting on Monday, but Tuesday we went to see the "Transformers" movie at Golf Mill. To be honest, I wasn't really hot and bothered about going to see this movie becos I don't really care for those toys as I was forced to play with my then 3-year old brother to keep him entertained and out of Mom's way :P. The movie was no better, it didn't even hold my interest enough to keep me awake, unlike "Pirates of the Caribbean 3" which I couldn't take my eyes off of lol.

Today we went to lunch at Quizno's and Greg worked out while I stayed home and typed up a new flyer, DVD cover and business cards to be printed out and taken to Flashback Weekend.

I'm FINALLY going to bed now...YAY!!!!!
