Midweek Update (warning: it's long)
Woohoo!!! It's another non-meme post! That's two this week, aren't you lucky :)?
Sunday we went to Forest Park for their Oktoberfest. Good food and fun games, but Greg and I were disappointed that there was no German music, instead they had some psuedo-garage band playing classic rock. Normally I love that kind of music, but it wasn't approrpriate for an Oktoberfest.
I do have a question...why do all the Oktoberfests seem to take place in September?
We have been checking out the Halloween goodies in nearly every store we go to, I found a mini Lil Peepers Batpire backpack clip/keychain at Jewel-Osco that is identical to the larger one I have at home on the mantel, click here to see what it is supposed to look like even tho it is not the exact item its still cute :) and I'm gonna hang him from my rearview mirror.
Monday I think we stayed at home all day, was nice to sleep in, and Tuesday Greg and I visited the new Spirit store near our house then we did some cemetery-walking at Graceland Cemetery for the first time in what seems like ages. It was nice to take a brisk walk in the crisp cool autumn air...aahhhhhhhhhhhh.
Today, we went to the gym and I discovered that I have lost nearly ten pounds since July...go me! One of our neighbors even noticed that I lost some weight, which makes me very happy becos I know that I am getting results. Just not as fast as I like.
And on that note, why the hell do men lose weight faster than women? Dammit.
Well tomorrow starts the Big-Ass 3 Day Birfday-Palooza (TM) for Da Count!!! I have the cake all ordered and ready to be picked up on Saturday, and I have to pick up one of his pressies tomorrow when count_gregula isn't looking ;). I also have to talk to someone else about another gift, hopefully I get to see this person tomorrow. We are also going to meet up with Dr. Screwball (Kevin) from the Dr. Destruction show (out of Kenosha, WI) for lunch at Wah Sun (mmmmmm) becos he wouldn't be able to make it to Horrorbles on Saturday for the Basil Gogos/Gregula BDay event. Will prolly go down to Berwyn (BERRRWYN!) to see John at Horrorbles for a couple hours and then maybe go to Haunted Trails or Safari-Land to play video games.
I'll try and read most of your journals tonite, but I do have to get off of here cos it's past 1:30 now and I have to call Greg before he gets too tired to talk. Ciao for now, kiddos!
