Feeling better
Mmmmmmmm it is so nice and cool out now, got to turn off the air conditioner and will be able to sleep tonite with just the ceiling fan on :D.
Today did start out like shit, went out to the car this morning to drive downtown to pick up count_gregula from work and you will never guess what happened. C'mon take a guess. Well the Crappy Daewoo Monster decided not to start again! It took me an hour to charge up the battery enough to get the car started and by the time I got to Greg's work I was an hour and a half late :|. One of Greg's coworkers Rick the maintenance engineer of the building he works at volunteered to take a look at our car to see what was the matter and it turned out that there was corrosion on the battery terminals which prevented the car from starting. He cleaned the junk off the terminals and he wouldn't even take money that we offered to pay cos he took time out to help us. What a nice guy!
We still had to go to our mechanic to get the oil changed so we told the owner what had happened with our battery and he advised us to get battery corrosion protectant for $10 which was not bad cos they were giving us a free oil change anyway cos we are such good customers ($1000 worth :P). I was really scared that they were going to find something majorly wrong, but when we came back to pick up the Crappy Daewoo Monster all he said was that we needed to get new brakes (which I knew anyway) so he is going to check on a price for that as well as order a new air filter that they didn't have in stock for our air conditioner. I was very relieved! When I asked how much I owed for the battery corrosion protectant the owner said it was on the house. I love Lucas Tire!
