Europe was awesome, but now I am tired and grumpy. I went to bed three hours ago and now I'm awake again. Completely, totally awake, not even mildly sleepy. Body clock, I hate you. I guess today I'll try and stay awake until midnight or so without naps and see if that helps reset things by tomorrow

As you might expect I do, of course, demand pictures but understand how long it takes to sift through, resize, upload and organise! When I was doing mine, I broke them up by location so as not to completely overwhelm myself. You could try the same?
What was your favourite place along the way?

I'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite place, because everything had its pros and cons. I think Germany was my favourite country, to at least narrow it down a bit! I felt much more welcome as a tourist in Germany than I did in, say, Italy. And there wasn't as noticable a smoking culture- I really struggled with the stench of cigarettes in Austria and Italy. Or perhaps it's just that the cold kills the smell better? Who knows.
Switzerland only comes second because it was so. Unbelievably. Expensive. We had a beautiful stay in Engelberg in particular- tiny town, lovely ski slopes, outdoors iceskating, toboganning, amazing views from the mountaintops, heaps of fun.
