The Return of Derwen the Hunter!

Oct 26, 2009 05:14

In WoW I have been playing not only Lyra my main level 80 Pally, but also got my first toon, Derwen, dusted off and back in the game too.

I played her to level 50 and then wandered off to other characters, but she's back now better than ever and improved with all I have learned since starting her, and gifts from main.

WoW Meanderings inside the Cut.

Here is the new Derwen and her faithful companion PawPaw Bear who tanks for her during solo questing.

I have decided on her talents, and have two special pets in mind for her to capture in the next few play hours, two spawned unusual looking creatures from Winterspring, the snowy hot spring spred land she is currently in.   I will post pics when I have them-- it will take help to tame them but my guildies are eager to repay all the help I have given them so far. I like a guild who apprecaites my help and I have lots to teach them from my year of playing and with my Main.  IT makes me feel like a big sister, teacher, sort of mentor and I realized that for a casual player who plays less than many of my friends I know a lot to help someone.

Lyrahart, Meanwhile,.

Continues to develop nicely. She just got the title THe Hollowed last niught, and is a few emblems short of a good torso armor upgrade (that sounds like one of those euphamisms doesnt it?)  I am also learning how to Tank on her at the upper levels, but she is lacking in gear so I have only tanked non heroics at the upper levels.

I am a better player than I thought :)  I figured this out when I was the ONLY one to survive a party wipe on a heroic boss (until I was the only one left and the boss found me that is....)  but I still have a long way to go to fully develop her.  My guild is friendly and I enjoy the process.

I have only played a little bit this week, as one of my pains in my neck and shoulders gets really bad when I sit at the computer.  *frown*

The other bit of WoW news is that some of the Lore (the storylines) are fascinating.  THere are several things you run into during the game, such as famous NPC's talking or whatever, just that you run into as you wander.  So many of these places in Azeroth have little soap operas that you just run into, from shopkeepers who wanderaround muttering abotu their chores, to big story arc elements.  I am actually impressed by enough of them to want to learn more of one story arc, so considering getting a WoW Book to read (oh my gawsh!)  there are cinematics that really enchance these stories too, and I might post some stuff sometime for those who might like to see some of the story elements of the game that go along with the game play. ITs a HUGE story!
