I had a lovely time at the BU, which I hadn't actually been to before, despite it being an event for the Usual Suspects because it falls at a time of the month when I've usually got no money. Saw lots of old friends, met some new people, and learned many things notably the difference between Naturists and Nudists, which is apparently a split as fierce as that between the Catholics and the Orthodox in the middle ages...
Didn't talk to the BBC people, who I've already turned down, as I am with all TV and mag people these days (unless of course they want to offer me a job). Probably for the best as I've been recently having some very dark thoughts about my experience of poly over the last few years.
Stupidly, at the end of the night I managed to leave my handbag at the pub with all my money and cards in it but David M was a complete star far beyond the call of duty and returned it to me.
I really needed cheering up after all the alarums and excursions over the weekend and BU really hit the spot.
Good news: my main freelance client has asked me if I'd like to work for them much more, which means I shall have money, at least for a bit.
