Trying to move onto other things....
I'm trying to make plans for the wee Betsy Ross costume I need to have finished by March 1. And at the moment I'm a little stuck on skirt width.
The wearer is 7 years old with a 26 inch waist. I guess I'm wondering if anyone with experience clothing children has an opinion on how wide the skirt should be? I would love for this to look like a miniature adult costume, but I don't want to be unrealistic about what she can handle (skirt too heavy, too much fabric to manage, that sort of thing).
At this point I know she'll be happy with whatever, her teacher won't notice, and the only person who really cares about the details is me. So I'm trying to chill and see it for what it is - a little school project that doesn't have to be as difficult as I'm making it.
But I want it to be pretty!
