I have a parking ticket on a car I have never owned, and the car I do own is not registered under my name (even though I thought the dealership said they handled all of that). And because of the call volume and length of calls, my call may not be answered by the end of the business day. Which is probably fine considering I think the harried woman in the citations department gave me the wrong number anyway! But I can come down there and discuss it with a citations officer or something to contest it.
Awesome.
(I called the dealership [since it's J's dad] and he's going to look into it from their end, but since they're a Ford dealership and the car that got a ticket was a Honda I'm guessing some paperwork must've gotten shuffled around in the registration bureau or something. Do I really have to take a day off work to go down there and tell them they're wrong, here's how? I have pretty solid proof, right? Bill of sale/registration for my car, plus I got my license the day before I bought it! But apparently I should've gotten the title by now anyway--I wonder if mystery Honda guy who doesn't feed his meters has my title.)
