Hm. I think I have a dirty, thieving neighbor. My aunt sent me a package almost two weeks ago, and I have yet to receive it. I've checked the door, the hallway where my roommate leaves stuff when he checks the mail. So either it just hasn't come yet (because Minnesota mail is by far the silliest of all the state mails--other mails from other states mock Minnesota mail and throw rocks at it at conventions, sometimes on playgrounds surrounding mail conventions) or I have a dirty, thieving neighbor. And there are, like, double the suspects because this is a neighborhood of mostly duplexes.
It reminds me of that one gag in Psych, when Henry and young!Shawn hold a stake out to find out who's stealing their paper. Maybe if I plant a package at my doorstep (or inside the porch, where I believe the mail carriers leave big things which, whoa, I'm going to triple check that the door leading off of the porch is locked now) and sit in my roommate's car across the street for a few days, I'll find the culprit and get back the brown flips and the cookie mixes she sent me.
But then the other houses might catch on and mock my house when all the tenants are sleeping. Because, hey, if my house is going to eat me there's no reason it won't be able to chat up the other houses (bragging about the eating of their tenants, I'm sure) and that embarrassment would just piss my house off more and make the eating of me come sooner rather than later.
You know how it is.
