So, classes have started. They are basically what you'd expect from Physics and Math. My core class seems to be better that I thought it would be, the teacher seems really friendly. Homework is abit intensive in core and physics, core's homework is alot of reading and a one-two page responce each discussion, physics is well, physics. Calc is going to be easy.
Yesterday there was a pretty big car accident on campus, somewhat near my dorm (less then a five min walk.) They had two life flight helicopters come in. I guess it was a head on collision, and the rumor around campus is that one kid died today. The bad thing about santa cruz is that traffic issues, as a pedistrian it kinda sucks since I have to walk across the streets all the time, expecially knowing that there have been five accidents so far this year.
Its been alot of fun hanging out with people in my dorm and people I know from classes (I have almost the same sechedule as one other girl, Jess, so we sit together often.) Last night I went and hung out with some people I barly knew, we played betrayl on haunted hill, which is this crazy game, but hella fun. Then we watched the first episode of firefly in Cable's dorm. I think I might be going with them to see Serenity when it comes out.
KATY--- I am soooooooo sorry, I am not going to be able to come to oakland this weekend. There is a bus drivers strike, so there are no busses, and I was going to take the freemont/bart connector bus but its no longer in service because of the strike. I could get a ride to freemont on friday, but it would be leaving santa cruz at like 11pm, and by the time I would get to bart the last train out would be gone. Also, that ride is leaving on saturday to come back so we couldn't really do much saturday seeing as I would have to leave at like 3pm.
Yeah. I can't wait for thanksgiving to see people, unless something big happens in sac i doubt that i will get up there until thanksgiving. But, if any of you wanna come down for a visit thats cool. Right now there is a bus strike, as I have mentioned, so until thats over (we don't know when, but the city isn't even talking to the union yet) we'd be pretty much stuck on campus, unless you wanna go for a walk....
Well, I should go do physics homeowrk. See ya later!!!
