The one thing with art is it's hit or miss. It really is, you can explain everything until you're blue in the face and it wont make a world of difference. Why? Simple really. To be an artist is to pour your heart and soul into everything you do. With every stroke of the brush, with every word you write you impart a piece of your soul. ...and you know...you can bare your soul to whomever you wish. Few will get it and even fewer will truely understand. It's for those precious few that make it all worthwhile.
There's something simply profound about touching somone's life in someway. It's even more profound when that person is a complete stranger. For those that understand though, they aren't so strange, for they truely understand. Kind of like friends. One doesn't make friends, one recognizes them.
I've dropped my wallet before and I swear i felt my heart stop when I realised it. I was in instant panic mode when I figured I had dropped it in the park after an unexpected romp of soccer.
It turns out I had dropped it in the car. *smacks head* But I was glad that THAT was where I wound up dropping it. hehe
i think THAT is one of the reasons why i love art & writing so SO much. it's that whole "open to interpretation" thing again ^_^ you're free to illustrate your inner heart and it will be full of significance for you, and if you manage to touch someone else as well, look at what a gift you've given the world. :) heheh mushy philosophy, but i like it.
