Originally uploaded by Ghostly Penguin Display. Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who came out the the Make Out Room last night to see the Corner Laughers and celebrate Karla's birthday.
It was an entire weekend full of unseasonably hot weather (yeah, I know, get used to it) and unfamiliar celebratory events. I did something I had never done before - attend a black mega-church. We were invited by Brad to see his christening and it was actually a lot of fun. First of all, the place is so huge that it has parking lot attendants and security guards. Secondly, the preacher was as entertaining as you're allowed to be on a Sunday morning. To quote Charlie: "I saw something I've never seen in a church before - people laughing.... I'm a Catholic."
We also fit in a quick visit to the Green Festival on Saturday. We were only there for about an hour but we managed to fill a whole bag with FREE contraband including 4 energy drinks (we drank one there) and 4 cans of cat food. Score.
