Originally uploaded by Ghostly Penguin Display. The Corner Laughers / Orange Peels show on Friday went very well. Even though it was 90 degrees in SF (106 in RC) and the show started at the ungodly early hour of 7:50 (which is just fine with me), people showed up and enjoyed themselves and most importantly, I impressed Charlie with my parallel parking skills.

Our backyard wrens have taken up residence in the tiny birdhouse on the huge oak tree and all weekend I sat and watched the 2 wren parents fly back and forth with insects for the little wrens in the box. The big wrens would always take the same path to the birdhouse, stopping every few feet to yell at me and then going all the way around the tree and sneaking in from the back, as if I couldn't figure out where the nest was.

This is my favorite political ad campaign of all time.
