Today is free ride day in the Bay Area after one of our freeways exploded, and look - traffic isn't much worse than usual. If Arnold is really the environmentalist that he claims to be, why not just leave the freeway the way it is and use the money that he would have spent fixing it on more free public transportation? Freeways are like prisons, if you build them, people will find a way to fill them up.

And speaking of huge hypocrites, I spent about half my weekend on the freeway doing various duties. Friday night I did sound for the Variable Stars at the Chabot Space Center. They rocked, and the museum was fun too. I got to look at the moon through a 19th century telescope. Sunday was Corner Laughers practice with the new drummer and I have to warn you, we've gotten much better. You'll never forgive yourself if you don't show up for our May 12th show at the Edinburgh Castle (with the aforementioned Variable Stars). Again, that's May 12th - Edinburgh Castle. Don't let the fact that we're not on the calendar deter you.
