An emu in my office. How did it get there? I think we can rule out flying.
Flyer from a kiosk in downtown Mountain View. If you can't read the small print it says "help aid the genocide in Darfur", and then it looks as if they thought better of that and inserted the word "relief", lest they attract too many pro-genocide bands.
Tonight we're going to see Bill McKibben at Books Inc. From his bio:
Bill McKibben is an American environmentalist and writer who frequently writes about global warming, alternative energy, and the risks associated with human genetic engineering. Beginning in the summer of 2006, he led the organization of the largest demonstrations against global warming in American history. McKibben is active in the Methodist Church, and his writing sometimes has a spiritual bent. (And he put my song up on his website.)
