The Dylan movie is great. I'm absolutely going to be glued to the TV for another 2 hours tonight to watch part 2. My favorite parts are the clips of all the old folkies. I'm hoping Phil Ochs shows up in tonight's episode because I don't think I've ever seen video footage of him in action. I *do* think that I saw him in person riding the Caltrain a few months ago in the guise of his "John Train" character that he assumed after his "suicide". He was the most belligerent train rider I've ever seen. He kept picking fights with the conductor and at every announced stop he would make a really stupid pun, such as:
Conductor: Next stop; Redwood City.
John Train: Yeah, Redwood SHITTY.
Conductor: ...Atherton.
JT: ASSerton, heh heh.
Conductor: ...Mountain View
JT: Mountain PEW.
In case you haven't heard, Brian Wilson will personally call you if you donate $100 to his hurricane fund. I think Joel and I are going to do it although I'm kind of scared to talk to him, since he's all weird and retarded now. (Brian Wilson, not Joel.)
