(no subject)
Havn't updated in a while.
Been very busy and got sick over the weekend.
Other than that, nothing too new has popped up that is particularly note-worthy except that I might get my hi-hats that I ordered sometime soon (soon as in Wednesday).
Muse is a great band. Thanks to Connor for letting me check these guys out. The more and more I listen to "Stockholm Syndrome" and "Hysteria," the less and less they actually sound like the 2 Dream Theater songs everyone was having a fit over ("Panic Attack" and "Never Enough"...respectively).
Didn't have Theory Lab this morning because Jensen's wife had a shredded/blown out tire he had to help get fixed (via lots of phone calls). Not complaining...but I did wake up early expecting to have class. Dadgummit...
I need decent recording equipment, dangit. So many things I've got lying around that I could record if I had mics and a decent board. Looks like I'll be purchasing of something like that in the near future. It'd also be good to have mics so I can have them if I happen to end up with a gig somewhere (wherever the heck that would be...Alabama is so friggin' difficult when it comes to music gigs that aren't cover bands).
Last night I was playing drums and found out I could play one part of a Behemoth song ("Slaves Shall Serve" for those that care...the "slower triplet feel" section right before the drummer goes into crazy fast double-bass) that I didn't know I could play at that speed. I was duely pleased at that little moment. Good times, good times.
Still kinda sick.
