Hey friends. I got this bullshit assignment. I had to write an essay because I went to the library yesterday and it was closed so instead of going back I hung out at lunch. So here is the essay. I hope you all like. It's funny.
Note: Excuse and spelling mistakes, working on a word processor with out spell check. I also apologize in advance for this, but this is how I feel. Freedom of speech, but here is what you required. The methods of elaboration and transitions.))
In school with all the peer pressure, students get confused as to what is right in life. In many cases the students are faced with decisions. One such decision is to skip classes to be with friends. The majority of the students decide to skip. A recent interview with T. Hill in the school newspaper reported the ¾ of the student population skips. Many times the students will skip several periods a day. But an "honest" student wouldn’t because they like the class. Maybe it was the fact the teacher was very good at it. Perhaps they just might be too afraid of the powers that be to skip. Oh well, I guess when students skip they get what they deserve. But I feel that in some cases skipping maybe benefit a student. Not to say that it isn’t wrong. But times may arise when the students are justified by what their actions.
First, I believe an "honest" student wouldn’t skip because they like the class. I suppose I can see where they would get that idea if you were a teacher, but there are hardly any honest people. Sure, most can be more honest than others but not entirely honest. A class can sometimes be very fun or a living hell. Most of the time it’s a living hell but there are exceptions to this "rule" if you will. I enjoy English very much, but not when it is a course on FCAT. The preparations are so dull and boring. Anyway, I got off track. (Guess I get marked off for that huh?) So, an honest student would love to sit in class and listen to a teach give a thrilling speech. But a bad student on the other hand might see an opportunity to skip and maybe unwind a little bit. I guess those darn students never learn? (ßRhetorical Question?)
Second, I believe that when a student makes that brave choice of not skipping, maybe it was because the teacher was oh so good at teaching. I’ve heard that a really good teacher has a way of taking stressful material and making it fun. Ms. Rabbit it a good teacher, but even she can not make the FCAT fun. I understand that it must be tough but I wish there would have been a little break for a chance to do something entertaining. Back to my topic at hand. Creative teaching is a plus in this country of ours. It gives students a chance to grow up and be creative themselves. It’s much better than the alternative of the same boring lessons done in mono-tone voices that will make a student doze off. An honest student will enjoy the creativity and stay in class. Now to the bad student. He must hate the boring teaching and the creative as well, that can be his only reason. Am I right? (Whoa….another Rhetorical one…cool.)
Last, The honest student might be afraid to skip his or her class. The fear of a referral from an Assistant Principal, will definitely scare a student into staying in class, especially the Assistant Principals at our school. Such dedicated hard workers. But all the fear in the world though won’t keep any student from taking at least one day off of school. I seriously doubt that any student hasn’t skipped at least one day of their entire student career. Many of the students I have heard, skipped once every year. I did one thing wrong and I was caught. That’s all there is to it. I should have turned around and walked back up to class, but just any thought of sitting there and being stressed even more got to me. So I decided to sit at a table and express my creativity through drawing. Hmmm, should I have done differently? (They must come in triplets.)
In conclusion, there are several reasons an "honest" student would not skip. The first being their fondness of the class. The second reason would be the very creative teacher. The last one would be their fear of the faculty and staff. I know what I did was wrong and I guess I have to be punished. This essay was punishment enough. Not only did it take a while to come up with topics, but it was hard to fit in the methods of elaboration. I think I might have left one out. I suppose that, along with other reasons will make this paper "crappy" thus resulting in a referral. Well, I am sorry, but I did nothing more than the assignment you requested. Instead of conforming to the basic theory of an essay like I expressed when we started this section of lessons, I expressed my thoughts. Well, here’s my essay. Good day.
