It seems like All just a "Flashback" right now...

Hey gang,

Vell, I'm finally getting to my review and "Fangs For Meeting Us"
composition about Flashback Weekend 2005. The Countess & myself along
vith our assistants/alters Greg & Linda had gone All 3 days (Yes, All
3 Days!) to the annual con vhich is a first for both of us! Starting
last Friday, Greg & Linda had met Bruce Campbell (star of "The Evil
Dead" trilogy) and acquired his book (Make Love! The Bruce Campbell
Way) along vith autograph. He vas very nice and extremely down-to-
earth as vell as naturally funny. Greg & Linda then vent lurking
around the dealer room and vere greeted by The BONE JANGLER Show's
Very Own Man of Enormous Proportions (height), Goldie! Vhat can be
said about Goldie is that he sure makes his Presence known to One and
All and is quite his own character/s along vith being a cool guy!
(Fun and a bit Freaky as alvays Goldie!) Then as ve "creeped" along ve
had the delight to behold TBJ's Master Ghoul-met, Chef Ryan! It vas
Great to see The Chef again since meeting up vith him at last year's
event. TBJ & Nocturna had arrived just a vee bit later than us, but
it vas a Grand reunion to see the 2 "Titans of TV Terror" from out of
Aurora yet again! Also, another reunion for us vas to meet The Ghoul
Show's former Froggy, Big Mike that ve have not seen since
Cinema Wasteland 2003! After All that, Greg & Linda vere able to get
introduced to Chicago's north suburban horror host, Undead Johnny and
Crew vhich vere all just as gracious as they possibly could be to us!
At the end of this Frightful opening night's events - pleasant "spirits" vere to be consumed by all still "hanging" around!

On Saturday, The Count & Countess had slathered up on the SPF 5,000
to be able to go out in the sunlight (Ughhh!) and make their annual
Flashback Weekend appearance as themselves! There vere ghoul guests
and gals galore at this day's festivities. Chicago TV Legend and
horror host of 25 years, Svengoolie had been scaring up the scene to
sign autographs, sell his new Sven T-shirt, plus host a Q&A and costume
contest! Vow, vhat a busy goolie!!! Svengoolie documentary producer,
Jon Knoll had filmed The Countess & myself right at the event and
conducted an interview vith us to be included in his project! (Thank
you Jon!) Fellow Sven group members, Ron & Angie had attended the
event as vell on Saturday and had their first "meat" ...erm meet vith
The Count & Countess. Ve had a good time in their company and shared
our FW experiences since seeing them last at the Golf Mill Sven
appearance. Another fiend of ours, Jim from The Werewolf Cafe (dot
com) had spotted us and ve chatted about the day's activities vhile
receiving from him a cool flying disc along vith skull and crossbones
Mardi Gras beads to boot!

Other interesting "characters" stalking the halls vere the likes
of "Jason" and a female "Predator", "Willy Wonka", "Shaun" of "Shaun
of the Dead" fame and various other ghouls and goblins that vere
haunting the...daytime?? Hmmm...Vell, anyvay...TBJ and Nocturna shook
a "bone" to greet us on this day and introduce us to Graveyard
Theater's demonic hostess Demonica! She vas a "scream" to say the
least and had fangs to "die" for! Other notable dis-figures ve
encountered of the Eerie Kind vere "The Devil's Rejects" stars- Sid
Haig, Bill Moseley, Michael Berryman and "Tiny" himself, Matthew
McGrory. The Countess & myself vere then invited to a pizza party
vith TBJ, Nocturna and Big Mike in his room that extended vell into the
rest of the evening.

On Sunday, Greg & Linda had come back since The Count & Countess had
enough sunlight and heat from Saturday to burn the eyeballs off an
ant! They had made a few more rounds around the dealer room to
capture pics vith Bill Moseley & Sid Haig, film some cool video and
then vrap up the rest of a vhat vas a looooong and fun filled veekend. It's alvays a
little sad to come to "The End" of being vith one's extended
friends that ve just don't get to see quite often enough and then have to get back
into the "Real Vorld". However, I think ve have made the most of a
truely enjoyable and memorable "Veekend" to last us until next year's
event!

Unvinding vith a Bloodviser,
Count Gregula V^^^V
