[Here's one of the people heading down for an upgrade. They just get smaller and smaller, don't they?

She spends a moment scanning the area, then notices what looks like an entrance and someone sitting by it.]

Hey! Is this the start a' the "tunnels"?

[Two large creatures trail after her, one of which seems a bit agitated and another that...is probably a bit familiar.

Not in the nicest way, either.]

Oh, yes it-

[OH GOD IT'S BACK

AND IT BROUGHT A FRIEND

Guy leaps up and snags Sapphire's arm, dragging her away from the two Pokemon and pushing her behind himself although he is currently without a distraction by way of a tasty, dericious katana.]

Go, run! I'll distract them!

[Rono stares, then gives a befuddled growl (boi where your shiny) and Toro squawks in alarm, dropping back into a fighting stance.

Caught off-guard, Sapphire yelps and...is dragged. After a second of wait what huh she shakes her arm loose from Guy's grip indignantly.]

Hey, what was that about?!

[It occurs to Guy then that it would be somewhat difficult to not notice those two things following you and that she hadn't been screaming in terror and running for her life.

Also she's a girl.

So he sort of jumps back from her and rubs his wrist, eyes flicking back and forth between the girl and the Pokemon.]

[Dude seems skitzy. And confused. Give Sapphire a couple of seconds to figure out what his deal is with the beasties, then:]

[And down she disappears. That was all!

...Except for said monsters, which will hang around the exit looking concerned until she returns. The Blaziken paces, wrists flaring up weakly each few steps, and the Aggron plunks itself down and alternates between staring intently at the tunnel and staring curiously at Guy.]

[Meanwhile Guy will just edge away from the things and watch them very closely. Why did she leave these up here. Why.]

Sapphire emerges from the tunnel looking a bit bewildered - Toro turns to her with a relieved-sounding huff, and Rono growls happily and heaves himself off the ground.]

Hey, you all right? [Guy is more willing to trust these monsters since they didn't chew on him or his effects while she was gone, but not quite enough to circle around to the same side of the hole they're standing at.]
