Newbie Intro Post~ *hearts*
Yo~! Finally got myself to join the community. *waves to rimosa and lonelydark* Heh..only people I recognise up here. XD
Anyway, I came bearing gifts. I'm taking part in 30_kisses with Riff/Cain as my pairing. So yup, here's the first 5 themes.
A/N: Writing these brings back bittersweet memories, since I'm just basically transcribing my own experiences into the drabbles.

It was always there, he just refused to acknowledge it. The slightly insane gleam in his eyes when they kissed, made all the more apparent by the dim light of the gas lamp in the night; the too-cool sensation of his skin against his young, flushed flesh, as if warm blood no longer pumps through him, as if it had been a long time since he was alive. Even when Cain huggled up agianst his broad chest, placing his ear against it without thick layers of clothes muffling the sound that should've been there but wasn't...
It was only when he saw the man he loves slowly but surely crumbling into dust before his eyes that he realized what Riff's typical half-regretful smiles and hesitant kisses were trying to say.
Ashes to ashes...dust to dust...look over here...
He was asking for help.

"Riff! How do you write a love letter?" Cain asked, chewing on the end of his pencil with an irritated look on his face. His valet smiled kindly.
"Well, I've never written one before. But I'll assume that you talk about what it is about that special someone you fell in love with, how much you'll like to kiss them and so on."
"Argh! This is so frustrating!" The young boy pushed the stack of writing papers that he'd been staring at in Riff's direction. "Write it for me! I want it on my table by tonight!"
The next time Riff saw that stack of papers was when it was on his desk, a couple of mornings later, with his name clumsily scribbled in Cain's childish scrawl after the word "Dear".

The first kiss was often the hardest one to forget. Cain remembered that they were walking back from one of the many dinner parties that he attends on a regular basis. It was a particularly dark night, probably a new moon night. Not like that fact was particularly significant.
No, the only thing about that night that stuck with hi was the jolt (was it of pleasure or mere static?) that went through him when Riff suddenly grabbed his elbow and pulled him back to face him.
"There's something I need to do," he said quickly before pressing their lips together.
Cain remained silent the entire night, leaving Riff to wonder if he'd offended his lord with the liberties he'd taken, not knowing that there was only one thing on Cain's mind then.
Do that again.

Even the cold rain can do nothing to numb my pain. As I stand out here in the road, feeling the dampness on my face that I can no longer differentiate (is it tears or is it rain?) watching your stilhouette as you kiss her, and you kiss her again...
