I guess I owe you guys a weaktoast apology of sorts: I haven't been posting here much of late, because there haven't really been many things to comment on. Getting started with school in fits and jerks, because I'm afraid to drive my car (the dang check still hasn't cleared for my new tags! I sent it three weeks ago!) and feeling generally solvent and worried that will pulled from under me at any moment.
Also, politics are boring when nothing happens for a long time, but that is how work is really accomplished in Washington: a million hours of wrangling and fuss when there's nothing to report, and then bamsplosion! like the Supremes' pre-June recess pronouncements, a dozen bills get signed into law all at once.
Aside: does it strike anyone else as kind of goofy and even cute, that firm liberals and firm conservatives are roughly equally outraged at the President for not conforming to their stereotypes of him? (centrist politicians will do that to you)
