"We will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair, a
stone of freedom."
I like to think that Martin would be proud of us today, and have a heartfelt hope that someday, as long as we are never satisfied until that day, we will truly produce a nation on this earth where, as a shining beacon of hope and a subversive message of amity and brotherhood to every oppressor's blinded followers, we may someday be able to live up to our purest creed: that all mankind is created equal, that we are endowed at our creation with certain inalienable rights, and that among them are life, and liberty, and the pursuit of our own happiness...and that indeed, the rights of man do not end there.
That is merely where they begin.
We have a long and difficult road ahead. And many of us are impatient for the consummation of our march. I am impatient for the commencement of the journey.
