On the house. Seems like more and more artists are catching on that the only people who ever made any money on record sales were Phil Spector and the big music labels. Musicians make their money on tour; doesn't matter whether they're traveling in a broke-down black '85 Dodge van or a purpose-made 757 with a brass pole.
But the neatest part (for me anyway) of artists catching on this fact, is not that they are sticking it to the Man, but that I can have the music I want, at a price I can afford to pay, and still afford to go to concerts. Excellent.
