STEP ONE
well this is pretty obvious no? take a picture for your base, crop it/size it as you like, just leave it alone afterward, no sharpening nothing.
for my base i used this picture of effy, (credit to skins brasil) sized at 266width 200height pixels.

STEP THREE
Add another layer, this time fill it with #B59882 and set this one to Multiply as well.

STEP TWELVE
Again Duplicate your base, put it on top of all your other layers only this time set it to Screen.

STEP THIRTEEN
Duplicate your base again, and put it on top of all your layers, this time setting it to Multiply, Opacity %82

STEP FOURTEEN
For the last time lol, Duplicate your base put it on top of all your layers, set this time again to Screen.

STEP FIFTEEN
Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation
MASTERS:
Hue: -9
Saturation: -22

**if the your icon is to sharp for your taste one thing you can do is duplicate your icon after you've flatten image, sharpen but then change the opacity until it's to your taste.
