[What started out not to be Emma's day was only going to get worse. Once again, she retreated to the confines of her safe home to avoid getting shanked or touched or given death threats during the event, but she still has to come out for food and supplies. Curse her human functions. When she passes the fountain, though, she spills her bag of groceries. At first, she's angry--these are no good to her now, they touched the ground. Ugh! She looks flustered for a moment.]
This...this is just great. No matter what I do, something always goes wrong. I don't even know if it's just me or this place--I just...need something.
[There's a beat.]
Something...to protect me.
[Again, there's a beat, followed by another one. The sound comes from nowhere.]
Or maybe just to make sure nothing bad happens.
[Behind her, there's a chorus. Again, the sound comes from nowhere. Her journal was in that bag, and it starts to pick up singing...?!]
♪Where have all the good men gone, and where all the gods?
Where's the streetwise Hercules, to fight to rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight, upon a fiery steed?
Late at night, I toss, and I turn, as I dream of what I need!♫
I need a hero!
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night.
He's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast, and he's gotta be fresh from the fight.
I need a hero~!
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light.
He's gotta be sure, and it's gotta be soon and he's gotta be larger than life.
Up where the mountains meet the heavens above,
Out where the lightning splits the sea!
I would swear that there's someone, somewhere, watching me
Through the wind end the chill and the rain,
And the storm and the flood!
I can feel his approach, like the fire in my blood.
I need a hero!
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night.
He's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast, and he's gotta be fresh from the fight.
I need a hero~!
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light.

[She repeats the last verse twice. All the while, she's walking in front of the fountain, twirling and holding herself and making flirty glances at passers-by. By the time she finishes, she's a little out of breath, but she looked like she was having fun. She will freak out, however in 5...4...3...2...]
