IC:
Character name: Katt Monroe
Fandom: StarFox 64
Timeline: Shortly after Andross was defeated in the Lylat Wars, after she joined Star Fox to the trip to Corneria.
Age: 19. She is supposed to be around the same age as Falco Lombardi, and Falco is 19 in SF64.
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: She is a highly skilled pilot and mechanic, and has shown talent in infiltration. Her life in a gang, the Hot Rodders, has given her street smarts. She can also handle heavy weapons and guns very well.
How would they use their abilities?: Aboard Thor, Katt would likely be a mechanic or work with machines. She would gladly take up any mercenary work offered by another resident, or take a high-profile job for a chance to show off. She would also be interested in security-type jobs if the pay was good enough. If she had no other choice, she also would use her girlish “sex appeal” in fashion jobs or modelling.
Appearance: Katt is a giant anthropomorphic cat. Yeah. She has blue eyes, pink fur (which may be dyed, as her fur is black in the sequel that occurs ten years or so later) with white markings on her nose, mouth, inside her ears and on the top of her head (where it is long and bushy, almost like hair). She wears a lot of makeup, with heavy blue eyeshadow and black eyeliner. While he colouring and makeup is very girlish and feminine, she dresses in very tomboyish, “gothic” fashion. She wears a leather vest (probably part of the uniform of her gang) with red trim and silver snap buttons, a yellow shirt that exposes her midriff, silver dogtags around her neck on a silver chain, blue jeans, and black knee-high combat boots. She has bulky black-and-silver studded bracelets around her wrists. Two thick, studded black leather belts hang around her hips.

Awe yeah I am about to play a character that has about 12 spoken lines in the game I'm taking her from ; D.
Katt Monroe is one of the greatest mercenary pilots of her time, and one of the pilots responsible for ending the Lylat Wars. She was once a member of the galatic gang “The Hot Rodders,” allegedly with Falco Lombardi, a close friend and love interest of hers. When he left The Hot Rodders, she too broke off for some time and began to travel the galaxy solo, looking for him, as well as training to become a stronger pilot.
It is never said outright where she and Falco grew up, but it’s hinted that they once lived on Zoness, a beautiful oceanic, tropical planet made up mostly of sparkling oceans with diverse aquatic life. It was captured by the Venomian army during the Lylat wars and was destroyed. If the team travels to Zoness in SF64, Katt is patrolling where one of Andross’ lackeys is supposed to be hiding, presumably trying to stop him. (As well, if Falco is brought onto Zoness, he makes an infuriated comment that he “can’t believe they did this” to the once beautiful planet, also hinting he once lived there.)
As a child and young teenager, Katt was very incompetent. Although she ran in a fierce gang, she had very little skill, always bit off more than she could chew, and relied on her childhood friend Falco to rescue her whenever her brash actions got her into trouble. Eventually, in their early to middle teen years, Falco had had enough of Katt‘s clinginess (as well as her smothering crush on him), and abandoned her, leaving the Hot Rodders, hoping she would finally grow up and learn to take care of herself. During his absence, Katt snapped out of her “crybaby” stage, left the Hot Rodders for a little while, and became more than just a capable woman - she became one of the galaxy‘s best, committing herself to following Falco‘s example.
At the beginning of the Lylat Wars, while out training, Katt was ambushed by Andross’ army and nearly died. Her prized ship totalled, Katt grew furious after her recovery and dedicated her life not only to finding Falco and showing him how strong she had become - but to stopping Andross. Before the Star Fox team (Falco included) even began their work in the capital planet Corneria (the very beginning of the game), Katt had already broken into Andross’s base in Venom. Although the thick and dangerous defences of Venom are almost impossible to penetrate (and the atmosphere itself is toxic, and if anyone tries to breathe it in, they will die immediately), Katt somehow got in undetected (a feat considered impossible) and without a scratch, and stole some of their machinery and one of their best war ships. To mock them, she repainted the ship hot pink, coated it in glitter, and reverse-engineered it into the strongest fighter jet she could, naming it The Cat’s Paw and using it against them. (This is not head canon - her backstory can be found in the Star Fox walkthrough by Nintendo.)
Because of this, Katt is (in my opinion) the strongest character in the game. Her lasers are capable of shooting down missiles. In Star Fox Command, she has one of the most powerful ships, and the strongest laser in the game. She even builds her own ship in the sequel, instead of just stealing it. She is a much stronger ally than Bill Grey, a key member of Corneria’s army. She is only unlockable in the hardest path of the game, and is crucial in succeeding in some of the toughest missions.
Despite her interest in Falco, Katt is very flirtatious, and likes to use her femininity to her advantage. Although she is somewhat of a tomboy, she talks in a very girlish manner, referring to men by pet names and speaking very highly of herself (“You trying to damage my pretty face~?”). Whenever she works in a team, she spends most of the time teasing the boys and flirting around. She has dated other men, and even gave up pursuing Falco in the manga to be with someone else. This does not mean she does not still love him, though; in the sequel, she has broken up with her boyfriend and is back to chasing Falco around. She also has high standards for herself. Although she is a flirt, she would not have a relationship with just anybody. She calls Fox McCloud ‘Tiger’ and says that she would “kiss him” for helping her, but never expresses romantic interest in him. Even her boyfriend Cool in the Star Fox manga appears to have to have earned her affection - Cool is a lot stronger and tougher than the other Hot Rodders members, and comes to her rescue when even she - one of the greatest pilots in the galaxy - cannot handle the situation.
In the sequels where she loses her “flirty” quirks, she is still headstrong and cocky, much like her love interest Falco. She is also hotheaded and feisty when angry, and tends to fly off the handle if something upsets her and has a tendency to say things she doesn't mean (She yells "I'd rather cough up a furball than work with you!" to Fox McCloud after he nearly kills Falco in the manga, and also yells at Falco in Star Fox Command after he insults her and says she never wants to see him again, but in both cases always comes back to help them). She loves to show off, and would never turn down the opportunity to help turn the tides in battle. And although she works alone in the Lylat wars, she does not mind working in a team. She ran in a gang for years, after all. In Star Fox Command, she works alongside the other main female pilots and helps them destroy the Anglar menace, even becoming friends with them and helping prepare a party with them afterwards. As well, in a bad ending of Star Fox Command, Katt finally convinces Falco to form his own elite team, and joins as one of his key members. As well, it says in her biography in the game that she secretly wants to join Star Fox - mostly because she wants to be around Falco.
Have you read up on how the game works?: I should hope so, I play here! XD The Guide plugin is Flaming Ferret, and you can earn money in the offered missions, by mooching off of others, or even by stealing if you can accept the consequences. Same old song and dance.
1st person sample:
[The feed begins - oddly enough - in the air. The Guide, which has been tossed aside carelessly, glides through the empty air of the hangar before finding a nice place on the floor in front of a…
really hideous looking ship. The hot-pink colour is eye damaging, and yes, it also happens to be sparkling.
Before it, a pink cat girl weeps quietly, horrified and inconsolable.]
MY BABY!
[She strokes one of the ruined wings of the ship, wrapping her arms around the burning and sizzling wreckage. Her delicate, pawlike hands run across the scortched metal. Between quiet sobs, the woman appears to be cooing at it and speaking softly.]
Oh sweetie, I am so sorry…
[She sees the flashing red light of her Guide out of the corner of her eye, and looks down at where it lay and blinks, as if forgetting it belonged to her. She waves at it desperately, as if trying to get the viewer’s attention.]
Hey!
[She struts slowly over to it and picks it up carefully, her anguish disappeared, winking at the camera and blowing a kiss, a bit of a purr in her throat as she speaks in a sing-songy voice.]
…Any kindhearted gentlemen out there who can help a girl out?
3rd person sample:
So this was the team that Corneria trusted to defeat Andross, huh? Katt Monroe flew silently above the stratusphere of Zoness in her Venomian ship, poised and ready for attack, discreetly tailing the four men who had piqued her interest.
She winced a bit as the embarrassingly trained amphibian member of the team crashed himself into a cargo gate, and had half a mind to jump in right there -surely he had flown an Arwing at least once before?- But no, she was absolutely not going to interfere.
Not today. Not until she had truly proven herself, so that even the hard-headed Falco had to admit she had skill. For now, she sat upright in the cockpit of the Cat's Paw, curiously watching team Star Fox's ships blip across her radar, her tail lashing from frustration. Her feelings associated with watching Team Star Fox for the first time was - after all the hype she had heard - disappointment. How could Falco possibly want to fly with them, and not her?
And it was when the leader just barely hit an enemy searchlight in plain sight that Katt Monroe had decided she had had enough. This was beyond embarrassing. Talented men or not, there was no way in hell she was going to let Star Fox lose like this.
Double checking that the Cat's Paw's G-Diffuser system was fully online, Katt shifted the ship into gear, the engine purring and coming to life under her fingertips. It was a bit earlier than she had intended, but it was finally time to show him what she was made of.
Switching on the microphone on her helmet, she hacked into a special someone's transmission, and set to work.
"We're closing in on them, Falco!"
Questions?: You are standing at a switch of a railroad track, and there is a speeding oncoming train headed straight for five foolish teenagers goofing off on the tracks. On the other track, there is an elderly worker repairing the unused pieces of track, who doesn‘t seem to notice the teenagers nearby. If you throw the switch, the five teens will live, but the worker will die. If you do nothing, the five teens will die, but the innocent man will live. In both cases, the train and conductor will be fine. Quick, there’s no time! -What do you do?
Actually a legit question xD: I looked on the World Destruction List, and it doesn’t seem like anything happened to Lylat…? It seems the muns from earlier did not comment. Did the muns decide if something happened or did both SF characters just arrive? Maybe I’m missing something.
Did you put your characters name and fandom in the subject: MKay, done <3
