Working a little slowly today, owing to housemate's birthday drinks yesterday, which started with tea and wine and crisps and sausages and children in the afternoon and finished up with chilli and several rounds of blue margaritas, and a long, involved and passionate discussion about Lolita, Wagner and Jane Austen.
Made a birthday cake in the morning, and housemate's partner's elder daughter and I had great fun decorating it. Had discovered one can buy tubes of ready-made icing and pointy cones to fit on the end so we tried this. Leaves turned out to be a bit tricky, despite the helpfully illustrated instructions, but a willing mind could certainly read Happy Birthday Ros among the blobs flowers.
