Went to see Goblet of Fire with
frankie_ecap and K this evening.
Coherent thoughts: none. Well, except that the inherent ridiculousness of the tournament is even more obvious on film, as is Voldemort's incompetence. And Dumbledore's. ('Hmmm, I've been thinking really really hard about who could have it in for Harry this year, but somehow it's never occurred to me to investigate any of the adults in the building. I'm far too busy playing with my Pensieve*' ). Annoying that Beauxbatons was made all-girls, rather than at least one girl being chosen as champion from a co-ed school (am pretty sure there are French boys in the book, anyway. And it just occurred to me to wonder what is Fleur's sister doing there anyway? - she's presumably too young to enter the contest).
Incoherent thoughts: Cedric. Neville-love. Wish there had been more Draco. Moaning Myrtle! Cedric. Snape. Cedric. Ron/Krum. Harry/Cedric. Rita Skeeter was fab. And Cho, and her scene with Harry at the owlery. And this was much the funniest film so far - bit odd when Ron started being cheerful about dragons at the end though.
*And surely it's pronounced pensive, not penseeve? Or where's the pun?
