Good things:
hano is here. He has a cough and a cold and has come to be cosseted. Mostly this seems to involve tea and cats and a computer at the moment.
Sang in the Creation at St John Smith Square last night. Went very well, I think, and it's a glorious piece. The soloists' duets and trios were especially good. They are doing it at the Proms this year, so I must try and go.
That it's rather damp and grey today seems only appropriate for Good Friday.
Tomorrow I am going shopping with
frankie_ecap to buy a dress for
pashazade and
liadnan's wedding, and then it is the Easter vigil at the Cathedral, my high point of the church year.
ETA: Amazon have just emailed to say that Corambis is in the post to me!
Bad things:
I have (unexpected) work to do. And I have been doing it yesterday and today, but I still haven't finished (ok, there have been a few breaks) partly because I deeply resent it eating my Easter holiday. Except that if I just got on and did it, then I would still have four days off. Well, except for the stuff I'm expecting to arrive in my email on Monday.
Some pig has pulled off the blade from my rear windscreen wiper. Probably the same one that ripped off my wing mirror a few weeks ago (yes, for the second time in six months). Of course I did not notice this until it was raining today and I got into the car to go and pick up
hano. (Went anyway; rain is not that bad and it's not far.)
