After taking microbiology and now pathology I'm well on my way to becoming a germophobe. Thinking that there are little organisms that are growing on everything, unseen, and rarely dangerous, sometimes makes me paranoid. I know that my immune system is GREAT, but one single thing just terrifies me so much that knowing that my self-defense can fight it off doesn't comfort me at all.
PEOPLE NOT WASHING THEIR HANDS AFTER THEY GO TO THE BATHROOM TERRIFIES ME.
The thought that someone's fecal organisms can be transfered to me so easily make me want to vomit. I don't care if there's a good chance I won't get sick from it, it's still utterly disgusting. Why can't everyone understand that even if your hands don't look like they have feces on them, it's still very possible that you can pass your microorganisms to someone else?
So please, wash your hands, it's the best way to prevent from getting sick (yes, much than any anti-bacterial gel or cream) and it's just gross if you don't.
