Updates on the Mice

Apr 04, 2007 20:54

Both of them are now eating and they don't have much glue left on their bodies, just mainly on the head and a little on their feet. I will give them a day or so more before I let them return to the wild.

One of them is a hyper little guy. He loves to run and jump around, but retreat if you catch him in the act. The other is more relaxed and laid back, but will sometimes get a little hyper and will try to break out of his little cage.

As far as the names, they kinda stuck. O_o I need a life. The actor's probably either laughing or looking at me like: o_O. *chuckle* Sorry. I can't help it. ^_^

But I'm so glad I could correct the mistake that I had made. Now, all I need to do is learn from it and just prevent it from happening in the future. And I am very, very glad I could save these mice and have them turn out healthy and from the looks of it, happy for now.

And get this: No bites. I can pet them on their backs even, and they seem to enjoy it a lot.

It's funny... Any animal I rescue and touch seems to relax around me. I'm not saying I don't get bitten (because I've had my fair share of bites) but when it comes to rescuing animals, particularly the wild ones, they've always grown to trust me quickly. It's either a very special gift or I've been lucky.

Nonetheless, Nick suggested I wear gloves next time I rescue a mouse from a glue trap. I agree.
