(no subject)
Wow, this weekend was CRAZY
I went to Seattle on Thursday night (we got there at 1:30 in the morning), then we woke up at 4.
Then we did 5 gigs, 4 as a small band, and one as the whole band.
Sat was the game...we played Grambling, and if you don't know anything about Grambling, they have the best marching band in the US (or at least one of the best).
They were getting alot of attention, and we were just "the other band"...so everyone was kind of on edge when they got there...but they turned out to be AWESOME, and not just their marching.
They started the wave, and got SO excited when we followed them....they did it normally, then SLOWWWWWWWWWLY then in a circle (hard to explain) but they loved it when we copied them...and their picc section (all 9 of them) started waveing at our section...and they were doing our dances durring our songs.
We won the game like 50something to 7....
Then they had a 5th quarter preformance, and it was pretty cool...but it started to get boring...then all of a sudden their drum major came over and got our drum majors to dance with him...then he said something to them, and they signaled the rest of our band to join them on the field. We learned how to dance and marching like Grambling does...
Lets just say its one of the best experiences I've ever had. It was SO much fun. Its hard to explain if you weren't there doing it...but it was incredable. Now I can finally dance! lol
It was so amazing....everyone in the band couldn't stop dancing after the game....now we're going to add our "new grambling moves" into things we do.
