Harlaxton Entry 2

So, the first week of classes has officially ended, and the coach to London arrives in a few hours. This is pretty exciting, but it's definitely not the trip I'm looking forward to the most - that is reserved for Amsterdam.

Okay, after my shitty start to the semester, things seem to have mellowed out some. Nothing dramatically terrible has happened to me since barfing in the first British Studies lecture. That occurrence will definitely be the butt of multiple jokes for the semester, Hell, I've made quite a few already.

The only bad thing that has happened/is happening is that I'm running out of dried apple rings and trail mix that I brought from home. I should have brought more.

Classes have been going fairly well, and the only class I'm truly worried about is Japanese, and that's because I'm worried I'll forget I'm taking it. Hopefully that won't happen. Other than that, polisci has been nice, British Studies has been pretty straight-forward, and sociology has been an odd mixture of interesting and dull. I think I can blame all those sociology classes I sat in on during high school. Yeah... that's the reason. Although Prof Williams doesn't do much to make the class exciting. However, luck seems to have taken pity on me. I'll be able to do a 100 point project that ties into my polisci class for soc. I don't think I've been this excited to do a 9-10+ page paper.

Something was pointed out to me yesterday that I thought was pretty interesting. It's one of those things that you notice, but it doesn't fully click into place until it's pointed out. The manor that is Harlaxton College, is not the original Harlaxton manor. The original building is a handful of miles away, with the only remaining structure being a window and some wall, which has a house built around it so that the window is incorporated into the house. Jordan's British family lives right next to said house, so he might be able to bring a handful of us over to see it. If he can't do that, then hopefully he'll get some snap shots of said wall. Never has a normal wall been so interesting. Lolz.

Onwards to London~!
