Long time, no real post. I have been SO busy.
Spring break is over now, and I really didn't get much time to relax. Saturday last I went to a wedding in a tiny little town 70 miles outside of Spokane, and then drove home. Got home at 3:00 AM (considering Daylight Savings Time). Sunday I dragged my sister to the mall, where I got parts of the bridesmaids' gifts and some big sunglasses for the honeymoon.
Monday I drove to Tacoma so Adam and I could spend Tuesday apartment hunting. We found an apartment, but I already posted about that.
Wednesday I drove to Vancouver from Tacoma, picked up my mom, and we went to Beaverton to pick out a wedding cake. I ordered a chocolate fudge cake with fudge filling and white buttercream icing. Yummy!!
Thursday I had a dress fitting, got it situated for a bustle and to be let out a little. Then Alex and I bummed around the mall a bit until the planning appointment at the wedding venue. The appointment went all right, except the coordinator for the venue is really pushy. Lame. After that, we went out to dinner with Elise.
Friday, Mom got off work early so we could go to a florist. I picked out pink day lilies as the main flower, and I'm really excited about that. THen we went and finally found Mom a dress!! Had dinner at the pizza place where my brother works later, and rented some movies.
I went BACK to the mall with Mema and Grandma Saturday, where I bought some baby presents and happened to find the stainless steel flatware we originally registered for, that had been discontinued, for 50% off. So after Grandma's retired employee discount, and cardholder discounts, we got 16 place settings for about $100. Not bad!! I got my income taxes done later, and I'm really relieved to have that done.
So now I've just got a ton of schoolwork to do for the next six weeks. Ugh!!
