(no subject)
So crappy. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate snow?
Well, tonight I walked out of my Young Adult Lit class to see a freaking blizzard, no joke. It wasn't snowing when I drove to class, nor was it supposed to snow, so I didn't think it would. Otherwise, I would have ridden the bus. I wasn't dressed right, had a coat and gloves but no hat or scarf. It's super windy (we're under a 60 MPH gust warning) and it was snowing incredibly hard...I couldn't even look up while walking to my car.
And then driving. I would have left my car, but I would have gotten tickets like crazy when it was morning and the hours for the place I was parked started. So I started driving home, went the long way because it's mostly straight. Other than not being able to see, I was fine for the first mile or two. Then I had to stop at a stop sign. I was already going slow, and breaked very slow, but still didn't stop for a while. Scared the crap out of me. Then, even though I accelerated very slowly and carefully, I fishtailed and had a hard time getting going again. I had to drive up a hill to get to my apartment, and I could NOT keep control, no matter what, so I pulled into the parking lot for the bookstore/Starbucks across the street from my apartment and walked the rest of the way.
Now I'm just freaking praying the snow plows don't block my car in tomorrow morning. I think the snow will go away, as it's supposed to be super windy all night and stop snowing, but who knows.
