Slowest Fight In History ... or Future ... or Something
So, here I am.
2:30 AM Mountain Time. Girlfriend went to bed. Watching Star Trek Season 1 via NetFlix streaming. Episode 18 "Arena". It's the episode where Kirk gets to fight the Gorn. All you geeks have seen it. Kirk is recording that "assaults that would have killed a human have not taken this creature down". And this is after them throwing punches so slow that a paraplegic in a coma could have parried, riposted, and built a nuclear bomb.
And of course, being filmed in the same location (on purpose, since they were watching this episode) as the second Bill & Ted movie ... I keep expecting Kirk to run up and 'melvin' the Gorn.
Sigh. Insomnia sucks.
