Okay, again, I'm going to make this as quick as possible. And I'm only going to type between commercials 'cause I just started watching the Mothman Prophecies on tv...never saw it before, or had any interest...but it seems good.
Anyway. Wednesday night I worked in Smith, surprise surprise. Jelala's area, which I like. Nice closet.
Thursday night was the quickest eight hours I've ever experienced. Sammy brought me to the big auditorium in Tate and said to take my time. Kalid laughed. So did I. Eight hours for an auditorium. Sammy said it was his last day in Tate and to do a really good job.
I felt like shit for a while, real tired and dizzy -- that's been happening a lot lately -- but after my break I was okay. But the night just went by in a flash. I suppose it had something to do with being in the same room the whole time, but still.
Friday I spent sitting around, being bored. I finished Chronicles. Saw Breanne a bit that night...
Saturday, something...happened in the morning, probably tragic...but the rest of the day was spent packing. I got most of the little things in my room packed and the bathroom is getting there. When we were finished, I went and got us Applebees.
Eventually I went to Keene's, and we hung out all night, watching TV -- including he glorious and magnificent Monster Man. Eventually we went to Perkins where the coincedence gremlin struck. We split a basket of chicken strips and went back to watched my copy of Clerks which is always fun.
Sunday, I hung out with Breanne. I sold a bunch of my Vampire: The Masquerade books, just the shitty ones, second edition crap, got like 26 bucks. Breanne found me an old Hemmingway paper back for a buck and I got that.
We had coffee somewhere, and had to go to the goddamned Tower Days carnavil thing for her godmother's booth. Then Cheapo. I got Dylan's "Oh Mercy" because it was a section in the book about it's making, Zevon's first album and Emperor's "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk". "Oh Mercy is absolutely glorious and I've been listening to it all week. The others are good, but not AS good.
I think we chilled at my house then, and eventually went to the Olive Garden thinking we could have a cheap dinner with that soup and salad and breadsticks deal, but apparently it goes up to nine bucks a pop at dinner. So we got normal meals. Just as expensive, shiiit.
We rented the 30 Year Old Virgin, since Breanne made a point that everytime we go to Blockbuster, we have a huge argument. She likes depressing, sad ironically tragic movies, and I like goofy, monsterish horror movies. So obviously, 3OV was a perfect comrpimise. But she's wanted to see it and I love Steve Carrel.
It was like...the uncut version. And maybe it was just me, but it lasted like three hours.
It was okay.
On Monday, I think I went to Keene's to wrap up filming with him and Jason. Went fine, came home, went to work.
I also got a call from mom earlier in the day. She said "we lost the house". There was some legal battle going on with the development, and it was going to cost a lot if we moved there. So we had to back out. Which left us with the problem of finding a house and movie in within 8 days.
Worked kinda sucked. We worked in Lind, doing the classrooms on 3rd and 4th floor. That group from UDS did one side and me and three asian dudes did the other. It was weird 'cause they were speaking malasian or something all night. But my cd player kept me company, a bit.
I talked to that gay guy of the group a lot. It turns out they all make 12 bucks an hour as opposed to us students who get less than 9. He also told me that all the changes going on with FM involves getting rid of management. I dunno if that'll be bad for me or really bad.
But the night was long and hot and a lot of work.
This was also the day I started The Revolt of the Cockroach People. It started out slow, but it's fucking awesome now. Oh, those vatos locos.
So my mom found a few houses. They're over by Chase. The next day, we got the one she wanted. Big yard, but kinda small inside.
Tuesday at work sucked too. A first it was simple: sitting around, talking to Khalid, waiting for Sam. But then he told me to go do the outside of Smith and the stairs (ick).
Outside was weird. That weird bastard who plays guitar was there. At one point he came over to me, holding one of those golden U placks.
"Aaaah yeees," he says like a crazy man would. "150 years at the U, and you still gotta pick up cigarette butts". He sat down for that part and upon finishing, got up and went back to the sidewalk.
Later, while on my break on the front entrance bench, he came in, grabbed a box of what I thought were used batteries, went outside, came back with the empty box, grabbed a coat rack and set it outside, in the middle of the sidewalk. He walked away. I just watched him.
And I contemplated it all night, but instead of bringing it back in, I just watched people walk by and look at it.
Yeah, steps sucked...
Wednesday, Breanne came over and we met the realtor and saw the house. It's reeal nice, but small...hmm.
Work was good though. First night cleaning a place I'd had class in. Ford, basement and 4th. Good night. But I didn't know classes were going on there until after I cleaned a room. Ah well.
I picked up Keene after work, at Jason's and we went to Perkins. And then we chilled a bit at his place.
Thursday, I sat around all day, waiting for Breanne and the girls and mom. Breanne came over eventually and we made (she did..) signs for the garage sale. Mom got home, insanity and etc. Em and Ann came over eventually, too, but weren't much help. Just setting up and cleaning and stuff all night.
Breanne stayed a bit longer and we wathced tv until she took off. We were gonna put my car in the garage, since it was gonna rain and my car leaks, but we coudln't move the stuff.
But mom got up when I got inside and said it was gonna pour, so we ended up moving it all around.
Had to get up real early yesterday. No time to shower, no time to eat. I had to go set up the signs, which was a lot more difficult than I expected. Breanne showed up and...well, we did the garage sale thing. Sittin' around and whatnot. Had breakfast at one point. A lot of beefaroni later. Read throughout, made a bit of money. We got a couple hundred, I got 4 dollars...But my mom gave me ten. And I guess she's giving me an extra twenty just 'cause.
I fell asleep at the end, in the living room, and it was all done when I got up. I showered, and eventually I showered and mom did and Debbie, who was here, left and we went to Baker's Square in the storm. It wasn't as satisfying as I'd hoped, but ah well. I talked to Adam and I we may chill on Sunday. Then I remember Keene's concert is then, so I'll ask if he wants to go.
Then we went to Blockbuster and I grabbed what looked like a promising title, "Blood Trail". Western Horror. How could you go wrong. After watching it, I thought, how couldn't you?
I also got that "Black" game, since it's always advertised and being a mindless shooter and that's what I dig.
The night had a really spooky vibe and I don't know why. Maybe it was the storm and the movie. But after watching it, that went away.
I tried the game, cool. Then the movie, awful. I won't say it's the worst movie I've ever seen, but it was at least the most poorly made. Like, a POV shot would be in the daylight, and the reaction shot would be like, dark. There were a lot of lighting issues...and plus, the villian was laughable.
After, I watched some tv and played more Black. Needs to be more violent, though...
Today, I slept till noon, got up, watched tv and then this. Mothman is over and it was okay.
I will be hanging with Keene tonight, and I'd like to get a cd or two, or maybe the Neil Young dvd.
Hmmm. More horror movies tonight, hopefully.
I also need to bring my 50 bucks back to the bank -- I took it out for change for the sale. And I need to do a change of adress thing.
Yup. That's it for now.
EEEEE!
