Brand new day

Woke up this morning feeling fresh which was great. Still took 2 Tylenol PM last night before heading to bed as a safeguard. Managed to sleep soundly throughout except for the 1 time when I had to get up to pee. When I woke up, I could see snow coming down from above. I looked out of the window and brought my plant in from outside. The light dusting of snow on the soil looked like icing sugar on a brownie. Outside, you could see tulip buds sprouting from the ground in anticipation of Spring. It looked pretty but disturbing at the same time cos last year, the tulips came into bloom only around March and the buds are already out in mid Jan this year...

Fritz was visibly distraught and disturbed when we had our session. His friend abroad took a turn for the worse. He was asking me if he should make plans to go over now or later. I tried to put it across gently that he might want to go over now cos his friend might not make it. He looked sad after that. I then began to tell him about my friends and family back home which kinda distracted him and he was laughing when I was telling him about my dysfunctional family. He told me that he was glad he had the session with me cos it took his mind off things for a while.

Yesterday, Dr Pinto was like a whirlwind going through all the information about Thiamine. He's like at a level way up there and he thinks we're not too far away when in actual fact, we're like way down here. "Come on, you know the names of the different phospholipids and their functions... Don't be coy". We looked at each other and we're like "Duh... all we know is that its a fatty acid with a phosphate group attached to it and they are used in the formation of cell membranes!" Our first exam in 2 weeks and subsequently, 1 exam every 3 weeks... Going to be hell lot of fun. But Fritz insists that I enjoy that. Maybe I do...
