This is what I hate most:
Thursday, 2/22, in the evening:
Tonight is a karaoake contest at Common Interest, grand prize wins a 40" Plasma HDTV and a spot on some TW cable channel. I don't mean to pimp him out, but Andrew pretty much has already won that TV because no one is as good as he is. And although we already have a 42" Plasma HDTV, we could just exchange that for some other shit. But yeah, that is going on tonight, and only tonight, from 6pm untill all 40 people get to go.
There is also this "Breaking into the industry" Gaming Rocks free seminar tonight as part of SXSW's ScreenBurn deal. Basically its a gathering of local developers that are just going to give some hints and tips about going places in the gaming industry. It would be good for Andrew b/c of his magically rad game ideas and our excellent artist friend, if he doesn't get selected to go to England. I also just recently read an article in Game Informer (a subscription we have) about an accquaintance I've made who happens to be the founder of a successful indie game publishing company. This starts at 7pm, and goes to 9pm, at Jo's on 2nd.
Tonight is also the last night that the Alamo downtown is going to do the Mouling Rouge singalong, which Andrew was just beginning to want to go to. I bought the soundtrack again last week and now he knows most of the words. We've been this busy all month, since they started to do it, and were also saving up our money for our Disney vacation, and now its too late. FUCK! Yeah, becuase its also at 7pm this evening.
...OH AND! Ralph and Curtis finally want to play darts with me. So we're just going to do that. Maybe see some of the gaming seminar becuase they can't go until 9pm. But damnit! This is what I hate! Everything I want to do always happens all at once. But I can't complain. I have it good.
Well long story short, Andrew and I booked our Disney Anniversary Honeymoon on Tuesday!!! WOOHOO! I haven't been this excited about anything in a loooong time. I haven't been to Disneyworld since I was a wee lass. And we're going for like 5 days or some shit! HELLS YEAH! Best shit load of money I've ever spent. Still cost more than the TV though, haha. Damn us for getting married during spring break.
What else... oh right. I predicted at the beginning of the year that this year would be one of great expendatures. That people would just say "Fuck it" and spend their money. Our economy may never be saved, but no one is going to care this year. Thats the feeling I got on Jan. 1, and so far it seems to be the way things are going. Cool huh? Andrew and I both have special powers. Its hot.
Well that was fun. I dont think anybody even reads this shit anymore, but I don't care, it makes me feel better to pretend. At least this way I can get this out there somewhere and out of my brain. I think I'll play some Perfect Dark for now. TATA BITCHES!
