Murphy's Law, subsection a: Anything that can get spilled, will get spilled.

I can't even blame the kids for this title. I think I spilled every single drink I had today. At least the floors are pretty clean now!

A couple days ago my mom brought me a pair of professional Gingher shears she found at an auction. I just busted out my scissor sharpener, and oh my gosh. It takes half the time it did before to cut through faux fur and I don't have to re-sharpen them after every few pieces. I cut enough for three hats and they're still razor sharp. (Just ask my pinky!) I finally picked up a new comb yesterday too. If I can just bring myself to pay $8 for another rotary blade I'll be in good shape! Also, if you sew, I highly recommend using Organ needles. I was breaking/bending needles every other day (even the heavy duty ones) and now that I've switched I've been using the same needle for a few weeks. Totally worth the extra money.

I think I'm finally ready to start thinking about Halloween costumes! I have no clue what we're doing this year, so I'm open to ideas. This year I'm hoping I'll have time to make costumes for all four of us.

So both the girls can play Katamari now, and it's epic. It's a wonderful way to buy myself time to work! Especially since it's been so rainy. And cold! Just as I start to get used to the heat it cools off, so now I'm freezing my ass off. Time to start working on new scarf designs, I suppose. I'm thinking I might make one for myself with little Saiyuki chibis all over it. ♥ Gotta have something to match my Hakuryu hat.

And just like that, there's ketchup on the floor. Good god. If I wasn't so sure I'd forget and step in it I'd save it for Jonathan since I had to clean up both his breakfast and lunch plates and empty/unclog the sink that he "forgot" about. Asshat.
