if there were "over 56 deaths" in this room 1408, why wouldn't the hotel just destroy the key and/or the room and not allow anyone in there? i mean, that would solve the whole problem. then you wouldn't have the guy being like, "do not stay in 1408." and that other guy being all freaky in that room. or, if people kept dying in their hotel, wouldn't some sort of police or government agency shut it down? that way people would stop dying or disappearing.
while i'm picking on movies, i recently saw firewall. the movie's good and all, but...
(also: colbert report just now said it was gay pride month. happy priding.)
at the very end of the movie, the family gets away, right, and they walk off into the sunset while they wait for the police. very cliche. but the one thing i noticed right off the bat, was when the family came out of hiding, they had their hands already untied. i wish to know how they did this. cause when they were running away, they all had their hands tied together. then they come out of hiding from behind a barn or something and they are like "hooray!" i think whatever it was that tied their hands together was some sort of magic material that automaticly disappears when all the bad guys are dead.
